Cracked or broken laptop screen? We can fix it.
Cracked, black, flickering or lines across the display? We replace laptop and MacBook screens with quality parts and a warranty, usually within a day or two.
Screen replacement is one of the most satisfying repairs we do: a machine that looked destroyed in the morning goes home looking new. We stock and source exact-fit panels for every major brand, including MacBooks, and most screen jobs are finished within a day or two of the panel arriving.
The usual suspects
Different causes, very different fixes. This is what our bench finds most often.
Impact or drop
The classic: closed lid with something on the keyboard, a fall off the couch, a tight backpack. Glass and LCD layers crack even when the case looks fine.
Pressure damage
Picking a laptop up by the lid corner or stacking weight on it flexes the panel past its limit, leaving black blobs and spider cracks.
Hinge stress
A failing hinge transfers force into the display assembly and can crack the panel or its frame from the inside.
Cable and connector faults
Flickering, lines, or a black screen with the computer running is often the display cable, not the panel itself. Cheaper fix.
Backlight failure
A picture you can barely see under a flashlight means the backlight has failed while the LCD still works.
Liquid intrusion
Spills wick into the display edge and create dark patches and bleeding that spreads over days.
Signs you might see
Five safe checks before you spend a dime
These steps fix a surprising share of cases and cannot make anything worse.
Confirm the computer still runs
Listen for fans and startup sounds, or connect an external monitor. A picture on the external screen means the machine is fine and only the display path is hurt.
Do not press on the crack
Pressing spreads LCD damage and can turn a small repair into a full-panel replacement.
Photograph the damage
A quick photo of the screen powered on helps us pre-identify whether the panel, cable, or backlight is at fault.
Back up if you can see anything
If the desktop is partially visible or an external monitor works, copy your important files before the repair, or ask us to handle it.
Skip the DIY panel kit
Panels vary by resolution, connector, and touch layer even within one model. The wrong panel wastes money; identifying the right one is part of our job.
When to stop
If the glass is shattered, tape a clear sheet over it before transport and carry the laptop flat. Loose glass shards scratch the case and can wick into the keyboard.

Exact panel identification
Resolution, finish, refresh rate, touch layer and connector verified against your specific model, not just the model family.
Quality replacement panels
New panels matched to factory spec, for Windows laptops of every brand plus MacBook and iMac displays.
Cable & backlight repair
When the fault is the cable or backlight rather than the panel, you pay for the smaller fix, not the bigger one.
Hinge repair alongside
If a failing hinge caused the damage, we rebuild it in the same job so the new screen is not the next victim.
Full display testing
Dead pixels, color, brightness and touch tested before pickup.
Warranty on parts & labor
Your new screen is covered. If it acts up, bring it back.
What it costs
You approve every price before work begins, and your diagnostic fee applies toward the repair.
Cracked screen? The price depends on the panel, and honesty matters
Two laptops with identical cracks can cost very different amounts to fix, because the panel inside sets the price: a common 1080p panel is affordable, while high-resolution, high-refresh, OLED and touch assemblies cost more. Any shop quoting one flat price for every screen is guessing with your money. Our diagnostic identifies the exact panel your machine uses and produces a firm quote you approve before work begins.
It is also worth testing before condemning the panel. A laptop that shows a picture on an external monitor may only need a display cable, and a dim-but-visible image is usually a backlight fault. Both are cheaper than a panel, and we check for them first on every screen job at our Hendersonville shop.
MacBook and premium display repair
Retina MacBook displays are complete assemblies with the panel, backlight and lid built as one unit, which is why Apple screen quotes can shock people. We source quality assemblies for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models and price them honestly for your exact model and year, with the same warranty we put on every repair.
Gaming laptops deserve a note too: high-refresh panels (120Hz and up) should be replaced like for like. We match the original spec so your 144Hz machine does not quietly come back as a 60Hz one, a corner some shops cut that we do not.
